This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use www.1level.co.uk, why we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email, phone number you submit via forms.
- Assessment data: answers and scores from the leadership assessment and personal scorecard.
- Communications: messages you send via contact form, newsletter signup, WhatsApp, or email.
- Technical: essential browser storage on your device (cookie consent, assessment/scorecard results for “Your Results”).
2. Why we use your data (lawful bases)
- Contract / steps prior to contract: responding to coaching enquiries and delivering free tools you request.
- Legitimate interests: securing the site and running our coaching business.
- Consent: newsletter emails — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain records for tax or regulatory reasons.
3. How we share data
We do not sell your personal data. Contact and form submissions are delivered to us by email via FormSubmit (a form delivery processor). The site is hosted on Vercel. WhatsApp is a separate service if you choose to message us there. Processors act only on our instructions for delivery of the service.
4. International transfers
Some processors may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) required by UK law.
5. Retention
Enquiry and assessment records are kept only as long as needed for coaching follow-up and legitimate business records (typically up to 24 months if you do not become a client, longer for active client files). You may request deletion sooner where legally allowed.
6. Security
We use HTTPS for the website. Free assessment results are stored only in your browser unless you choose to share them via a form or email. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and object to certain processing. For consent-based marketing, you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact hello@1level.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Cookies & local storage
We use essential storage for site function (cookie notice acknowledgement and assessment/scorecard results on this device). We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
9. Children
Our services are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
